The Organic Pantry

Our main vegetable supplier, The Organic Pantry is a farm and wholesaler based in Tadcaster, Yorkshire regularly delivering their produce all across the north of the UK. They grow over 40 different varieties of vegetables, fruits and salads on farm and have been certified organic since 1999.

Sagar Lane Market Gardens

About as local as it gets, Sagar Lane Market Gardens is split across two sites - one in Shore, Todmorden and the other in Erringden, Hebden Bridge. Though not on a scale which makes Organic certification worthwhile they are passionate about environmentally friendly food and don't use any chemical inputs on their sites.

Freshfields Enterprises

This training centre based in Burnley supports adults with disabilities, nurturing skills in horticulture, plant production, plant care and gardening. Awarded Climate Friendly Food certification, they don't use any sprays or inorganic fertilizers on their site.

The Bakehouse

Calderdale's cooperative bakery and bakers of Real Bread, The Bakehouse make bread free from artificial additives and enzymes, slow fermented and made from organic stoneground flour.

Long Causeway Market Garden

The recently established Long Causeway Market Garden is laid out over an acre of land in Shore, just below the Burnley to Heptonstall road. Will has been working in commercial organic veg growing since 2006, most recently managing Canalside Community Food, in Leamington Spa, for six years. Having always worked on mechanised farms, he is really excited about their No-Dig market garden (no tractors allowed), which continues to grow and develop.

Bag It Don't Bin It (BIDBI)

Our reuseable jute bags are produced to a high ethical and environmental standard by an online company called BIDBI. They are 100% compostable and only environmentally friendly ink is used at the printing factory in Sheffield.

We use paper bags when we weigh out your veg , avoiding plastic wherever possible. The paper bags we use come from a manufacturer called Vegware who produce plant-based, compostable foodservice packaging. They use renewable, lower carbon and recycled materials throughout their entire product line.
