Jack @ Hebden Bridge Market Garden

Jack’s growing journey started when he was part of the Government's Kickstart Scheme, and landed a placement with MUD - Manchester Urban Diggers, a CIC which designs, builds and manages food growing projects and community gardens. A couple of years ago, Jack responded to Jenny’s advert on the Land Workers Alliance website, asking for regenerative farmers to take on an acre of land near Hebden Bridge. Jack is supported by CELT (Calderdale Ecological Land Trust) project - our sister org.

Being part of Cropshare has changed my cooking habits. I eat seasonally, according to nature, the way humans have eaten for millennia, it supports health. I create less waste, go to the supermarket less, and I am creative in the kitchen!
