"I follow organic principles not just in terms of avoiding chemicals but also in that I use crop rotation and green manure to care for and maintain the soil and naturally protect against pests. Everything is done by hand, I don't use any machinery that is fuelled with fossil fuels, but I am not strictly no dig as I do fork the beds to aerate them. I have set aside approximately a third of my land for wildlife and have been planting trees and wildflowers to improve the biodiversity on the site. Next winter I plan to put I a pond in the hope that frogs will help with slug control."
